Though he may reside in Sydney, Jay Karama is adopting the Melbourne Bounce movement and making it all his own. His most popular track "Skateboard" has been picked up by bounce artists including TJR, Slice N Dice, and Hardwell, and features the classic Melbourne buildup and drop but with a unique twist. What makes Jay's bounce different is his fusion of hip-hop and rap elements in his tracks. Heard in several of his tracks is the slowed down, almost spoken word vocals layed over his bass and synth. "Disco" one of his most recent tracks, has made the tough climb up the Beatport charts, capping at number 21. Even with the success of his tracks, he is continuing to offer several of his tracks for FREE DOWNLOAD, so listen below and check out more from his Soundcloud.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - TORA
Call it liquid, call it future, call it whatever you want, but these Aussies know how to put together the perfect track. Self described as a mix of electronic and chillwave, the guys from Tora began by putting together an EP in their garage and haven't looked back since. Their latest Eat The Sun EP is a 7 track masterpiece revolving around a slow methodical base and tantalizing vocals. Pick any one of the tracks to get your Monday started right. Make sure to check out more from Tora on their Soundcloud and Twitter.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - SOLEE
Founder of Parquet Recordings, Normen Flaskamp, has been producing since the '90s under a variety of surnames, however today, we know him as Solee. Hailing from Stuttgart, Germany, Solee has been perfecting his distinctive taste on melodic techno, tech, and deep house, rising through the ranks from a local club DJ to aquiring big name bookings all across Europe. His various takes on the electronic music genre allow him to produce a variety of tracks as remixes, mashups, club mixes and his own original cuts.
2014 has already been a big year for Solee as he has released 9 different singles, including "Lost" and "Slowly" (below) through a variety of labels. Hear all his work on his Soundcloud and listen to our favorites, new and old, below.

UP AND COMING - TOMB BOSS
Even with just 2 tracks up on his Soundcloud, we think Tomb Boss has something special. Hailing from Melbourne (surprise surprise) this guy has a masterful way of blending a little bit of indie, with a dash of new funk, all rolled up in the world of electronic music. His Soundcloud claims he is a future house savant, which, maybe we won't argue with. We also noticed when giving a quick scan through his Twitter, that back in April he made a mention of an EP, so Tomb Boss, we're waiting...

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - KIWI
Based out of London, Kiwi, otherwise known as Alex Warren, has been working over the past 12 months to create and produce a sound all his own. He has been on the road at festivals, highlighting and residing at night clubs, and working on remixes and collaborations, making for a busy 2014 schedule. Somehow, between all of this, he found a way to put out a brand new EP titled The Mara. The tracks lend themselves to a variety of genres but we appreciate the simplistic, easy listening that has become popular from Kiwi. As his style is so similar, it only makes sense that he remixes a track from Duke Dumont adding to his EP arsenal. Listen below and head to his Soundcloud for more!

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - INGENIA
Composed of Jordi van Burgel and Wouter van den Boogaard, Ingenia hails from the Netherlands. And honestly, that is about all we can dig up about these guys. They say that you've "made it" as a music producer when you have your own wikipedia page, and while these guys may not have that yet, someone should start to look into it. Over the past few months they have released hit after hit, reaching for top spots in iTunes, Beatport, and EDM charts across the world. Listen to their stuff, check out their Soundcloud, and you'll understand why.
One of our favorite tracks by the duo is their remix of Cazzette's "Sleepless" which you can check out and vote for HERE.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - THE WHITE PANDA
The White Panda was the result of childhood friends Tom Evans and Dan Griffith, who initially embarked on solo mash-up careers, joining forces and creating the mash-up masterpieces we hear today. Since forming in 2009, the guys gave had 27 singles reach the top spot on Hype Machine. After touring and sharing the stage with the likes of Mac Miller, Tiesto, Benny Benassi and more, the duo got to perform at Lollapalloza, Bamboozle, and Electric Zoo.
We love their ability to hear and combine the unique aspects of separate songs into one smooth flowing, jam worthy track. One of their latest tracks combines the superstars Disclosure and their vocals to Latch, with the 2010 hit Cooler Than Me from Mike Posner. Check it out below and listen to some of our favorites. Then listen to their Soundcloud radio show Panda Waves for more!

ARTIST HIGLIGHT - DEFICIO
We think that Deficio is under-appreciated. Go ahead and Google him. The majority of hits will come up for with information on Martin "Deficio" Lynge - a professional League of Legends player.

| Not our Deficio |
That's not who we're talking about. We're talking about Deficio, the 20 year old Swedish producer who has come on the scene in a huge way considering his facebook says he only "gained interest in music production in 2011."
We see artists who wait for 10 years before being noticed for one single. Everything this guy puts out could be his new single. Give a listen to his original productions and remixes and you'll understand why. He is a master of a variety of generes and does not necessarily stick to just one like we see from many artists. Whether it is melbourne bounce, reggae bounce, house, or big room, he can do no wrong. The guy has remixed Beethoven! His tracks are those ones you hear blended into mixes at huge festivals and he tends to fly under the radar. He announced to his 2,000 Twitter followers that he has a new two-track EP coming in September which we will be sure to update you on. Give a listen to a few of our favorite Deficio tracks then head to his Soundcloud for more.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - CHROMEO
Chromeo is a Canadian electrofunk duo comprised of David Macklovitch (right) and Patrick Gemayel. The guys have been putting out music since 2002, with their first hit single "You're So Gangsta", a track utilizing the saxophone that has become so popular recently. They met in college and describe themselves as "the only successful Arab/Jewish partnership since the dawn of human culture." Chromeo has been pretty steady in the album releases with about one every 3 years, their most recent of which was released just this year titled "White Women". If you haven't heard their single "Jealous" in some way, shape, or form, then you haven't been paying attention. This track skyrocketed up the charts when it was released and has been remixed by everyone from Dillon Francis, to Benny Benassi, to Savoy. You can listen to those remixes on their Soundcloud.
Check them out on their "Frequent Flyer Tour" going on now!

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - DOM DOLLA
When we highlight a certain artist, we like to listen through most of their work and select a few of favorites to show all of you. With Dom Dolla we planned on doing the same thing but after about 2 hours of going through his Soundcloud, we couldn't decide which tracks we were into the most. So we made a playlist of ten. Yes, we are highlighting ten tracks from a guy whose biggest claim to fame so far is a remix for The Aston Shuffle. Can you guess where he is from? If you said Melbourne, Australia, you're right. There is something in the water out there. We would go say check out his Soundcloud, but we've pretty much uploaded all of it on the playlist below. The guy has his own unique twist for every track that keeps you guessing. He's got house, progressive, deep house, some funk, swing, and the kitchen sink. Check him out below.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - CHET FAKER
Chet Faker, otherwise known as Nicholas Murphy, is worthy of his own artist highlight simply becuase of his beard, but it turns out his music isn't half bad either. The man comes form Melbourne, Australia, but rather than stick to the genre defined by his origins, he's created a style that is all his own consisting mainly of an electro-chill vibe. He first got our attention in 2011 with his incredible cover of Blackstreet's No Diggity - the tracks fame of course renewed by the film Pitch Perfect. Since then he has signed with American label Downtown Records and released his first EP Thinking in Textures which won him Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Best Independent Single/EP at the Australian Independent Records Awards. His success allowed him to produce and release his first full album Built on Glass. Get his full album on his website and check out some of our favorites below.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - HENRY FONG
With dreads like his, it is hard to not take notice of Henry Fong. He has grown up with some good fortune on his side as his father, billionaire Henry Fong Yun Wah, is the 26th richest man in Hong Kong. He got his start in music early like most, albeit a bit unorthodox since his first musical instrument is was actually an accoridan. Fong is best known for his track "Stand Up" (below) and has teamed up with several artists and has today just released his new single "Takin' It Back". Check out his soundcloud for a free download.
