KNIFE PARTY ALBUM RELEASE PUSHED BACK
In another case of artist versus industry, Knife Party has had to push back the release date of their album 2 weeks, to Nov. 10th. While they do no specifically blame any one person or organization, they cite the fiasco between Beyonce and Target and their refusing to stock the album due to it being released early, exclusively through iTunes. Their story seems to be similar in stating that they wish they could say "fuck it, do your worst, you irrelevant old fucking dinosaurs" however their label refuses this idea for fear over lost sales and profits. Isn't business fun? Click below to read the full statement from Knife Party.

AVICII - THE DAYS
There has been a lot of talk recently, both good and bad, about Avicii's health. In a recent interview with Billboard, Avicii has spoken publicly for the first time since cancelling all his 2014 shows. He addressed some of his health issues that resulted in an operation to remove both his gall bladder and appendix, which he says led his sickly appearance.
"I'd just been going and going...I was dropping weight. I took a month off, but it wasn't really a month off. I was in the studio 12 hours a day, and then went right back to touring."
Fortunately, it seems the break has paid off as he goes on to say "taking a break was the absolute best thing I've done. I'm doing better and better".
In addition to the interview, he released his latest single "The Days", sticking with his most recent guitar driven tracks with vocals from Robbie Williams. The track is the first release from his upcoming album, set to be released in the spring of 2015.

Linus Eklow, better known as Style of Eye, has announced October 7th as the release date for his second full-length album, Footprints. Not defined by any genre as his Twitter states "music, not genre's" the album consists of a unique set of sounds mixed into every track. 2014 has been a busy year for Eklow as he has been involved in not only his own album production, but in a project in collaboration with Galantis.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - KIWI
Based out of London, Kiwi, otherwise known as Alex Warren, has been working over the past 12 months to create and produce a sound all his own. He has been on the road at festivals, highlighting and residing at night clubs, and working on remixes and collaborations, making for a busy 2014 schedule. Somehow, between all of this, he found a way to put out a brand new EP titled The Mara. The tracks lend themselves to a variety of genres but we appreciate the simplistic, easy listening that has become popular from Kiwi. As his style is so similar, it only makes sense that he remixes a track from Duke Dumont adding to his EP arsenal. Listen below and head to his Soundcloud for more!

KNIFE PARTY TEASER
A while back we posted that Knife Party announced they had some tracks finalized for their next album and were working on mastering a few more. They just released a teaser for one of their new tracks titled "Boss Mode". The beginning of the track sticks with the huge bass and synth were accustomed to from Knife Party, however at the end you hear the introduction of a trap style to the mix, a sound we haven't heard from Knife Party. We definitely can't wait for the whole track and will keep you all updated when we know more!

ARTISIT HIGHLIGHT - TECHNIMATIC
If you take a look through Technimatic's bio, they declare their genre as simply drum & bass. While the music may fit the genre, there certainly seems to be a lot more going on in their tracks. Pete Rogers and Andy Powell were once Technicolour and Komatic, respectively, and merged together to create they rich bass heavy tracks we hear today. The duo has been making music in London together since 2008. Since signing with Shogun Audio the guys have been coming up with hit after hit and recently released their first full album "Desire Paths". Listen to some of our favorite tracks below then get the full album HERE.

NEW AVICII ALBUM
Avicii received a lot of flak and negative feedback when he first released his most recent album, True, as purists were saying that it was too "twangy" and did not stay true to the foundations of electronic music. Avicii laughed all the way to the bank as Top 40 radio embraced the new sound and his single "Wake Me Up" became the most streamed song on Spotify.
Now, rumors show that he is again working to expand the limits of electronic music as Rolling Stone reported that his upcoming album will feature, Jon Bon Jovi, Chris Martin from Coldplay, Billie Joe Armstron, Wyclef Jean, Matisyahu, and Serj Tankian from System of a Down. The album is set to be released later this year and include over 70 songs Avicii has been working on. When asked, he said the album will "be a lot more song oriented", seeming to stick with the direction of the genre as a whole.
We will be sure to update you when more news comes out, until then check out Avicii on his Soundcloud and listen to his alreaduy released collaboration with Coldplay below.
