When we highlight a certain artist, we like to listen through most of their work and select a few of favorites to show all of you. With Dom Dolla we planned on doing the same thing but after about 2 hours of going through his Soundcloud, we couldn't decide which tracks we were into the most. So we made a playlist of ten. Yes, we are highlighting ten tracks from a guy whose biggest claim to fame so far is a remix for The Aston Shuffle. Can you guess where he is from? If you said Melbourne, Australia, you're right. There is something in the water out there. We would go say check out his Soundcloud, but we've pretty much uploaded all of it on the playlist below. The guy has his own unique twist for every track that keeps you guessing. He's got house, progressive, deep house, some funk, swing, and the kitchen sink. Check him out below.

FUNK FRIDAY
The use of electronica in music makes nearly every song mixable. This versatility has led to an incredible amount of sub-genres within the electronic music scene. The overwhelming majority of well-known electronic music falls in the big room/house/dubstep side leaving many other tracks and mixes unknown. Funk Friday is dedicated to these sub-genres; everything including swing, funk, blues, groove, and more. Check out some of my favorites below.
Defunk classifies his track, "The Waltz", as a groove track. The groove sub-genre of electronic music is considered more of and overarching classification stemming from the use of drums, guitar, and keyboard as opposed to heavy synth or bass.
"The Viper" by Play Dirty is heavy on the swing loops, iconic to the period of the flappers and big bands of the 1920's, giving it the four-on-the-floor baseline and fusing it with jazz loops gives it the electroswing sound.
