SIDNEY CHARLES - GOING DOWN EP

DJ and producer Sidney Charles Hurricane Vieljans, more commonly, and simply, known as Sidney Charles, has just released his latest EP titled Going Down. Recognized as one of Resident Advisors Top 100 Most Charted Artists of 2013, Charles incorporates soulful and hip-hop elements into his tracks that give them a spice not necessarily seen in the world of techno. The diversity in his tracks keep him busy in the studio alongside his DJing schedule. This new EP looks to take the world by storm, but what do you expect from a guy with "Hurricane" for a name. PRYDA EP RELEASE

Pryda, formerly knows and Eric Prydz, has been in the game a long time. His original claim to fame stems from 2004 when he released his most well known track "Call on Me". Since then he has steadily released singles every year until 2012. Now, at age 38, he comes out of hibernation to release 4 tracks from his EP. Dance music is truly becoming a worldwide phenomenon. While its roots can be traced back to artists all over the world, it took hold most heavily in Western Europe in the late 90s and early 00s. Since then it has been making its way through the North and South America. The after movie below illustrates the spread of dance music and how it has creates culture and  community. In February 2014, the largest music festival in African history took place. Rewriting stereotypes on both the music and the country, the Offical After Movie of Ultra 2014 - South Africa is really a great watch.

Remember Adrian Lux from "Teenage Crime"? He has recently released his newest EP called "Make Out" and it is pretty incredible. The 7 tracks released have a solid mix of big room, trance, and progressive house. I've listened to the whole thing and truly can't find a track I don't like.
