EMERGING ARTIST OF THE YEAR

From 15 - 16 you could find KYGO sitting in his room up in Norway listening to Avicii on repeat. This inspired KYGO to remix and produce tracks of his own, and after gathering over 80 million views on Youtube and Soundcloud, he received a life changing phone call from Avicii and Chris Martin of Coldplay to create official remixes of their songs. We knew he was going to be special when we featured him in an Artist Highlight in early May, and since then, KYGO has not looked back.  He started his year opening for Avicii, and ended by performing on the Mainstage at Tomorrowland and beginning his own world tour. He also inked an exclusive worldwide record deal with Sony Music and Ultra. And between all of that, he has had opportunities to continue pumping out remixes and releasing his first very own original track Firestone.

KYGO - FIRESTONE (FEAT. CONRAD)

After about a year straight of touring with his remixes, Kygo recently released his one of his first original tracks, "Firestone" featuring Conrad. The soft, down-tempo track stays true to the tropical stylings that we have heard from him in the past, but he works to emphasize the vocals of the up-and-coming Conrad. KYGO AND DILLON FRANCIS COLLABORATION

Down-to Earth KYGO with his soft, deep house tracks and Dillon Francis with his in-your-face big bass tracks. They do say opposites attract.... 

Dillon Francis announced a couple days ago that he was in the studio with KYGO and where the duo was working on a collaboration track together.

With the track obviously still in production, there is no set release date or title, but we will be sure to update when more is announced. In the mean time, listen to the quick sample from the studio session via Dillion Francis's Instagram.

KYGO TOUR DATES

After signing with Sony Records, KYGO got right to work planning a tour. After getting back from Norway and Mexico, KYGO heads out on a 15 stop US tour, including a stop in Boulder, CO which we can't wait for. Check out the tour dates below.

NEW KYGO

If you keep up with our blog at all, you know how much we like KYGO. If you haven't, you're missing out and need to back track to when we featured him in one of our Artist Highlights. In celebreation of his recent record deal, and in preparation for his tour announcement this Wednesday, KYGO has released a new track, available for free download on his Soundcloud. It's KYGO so you know we already love it.

ARTIST HIGHLIGHT - KYGO

KYGO has certainly become more popular with his deep house remixes of classes songs like the No Diggity vs. Thrift Shop Mashup below. 2014 has really been a breakout year for KYGO and he has since been asked to mix for the likes of Avicii, Coldplay, and Diplo.

If you like the soul and jazz-funk of deep house, then you'll love KYGO's remix from an artist that you don't hear much from in the EDM scene. A soulful, slower electronic version of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing".
