Chet Faker, otherwise known as Nicholas Murphy, is worthy of his own artist highlight simply becuase of his beard, but it turns out his music isn't half bad either. The man comes form Melbourne, Australia, but rather than stick to the genre defined by his origins, he's created a style that is all his own consisting mainly of an electro-chill vibe. He first got our attention in 2011 with his incredible cover of Blackstreet's No Diggity - the tracks fame of course renewed by the film Pitch Perfect. Since then he has signed with American label Downtown Records and released his first EP Thinking in Textures which won him Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Best Independent Single/EP at the Australian Independent Records Awards.
